Many consultant companies will offer requirements gathering based on as-is and to-be state, this is not an approach we endorse from our vast experience. This is because as-is assumes the organisation has a position which can be enhanced, generally we find that these current practices have evolved from a legacy and are not suitable for current ways of working in Operations. Our approach is to apply best practices cultivated from our work across the globe with multiple clients from IOCs to NOCs, and then look to fit existing practices into a tried and tested ways of working. This sounds on the surface like major change, the reality though is it's actually a re-wire of the practices that work best across the organisation. Our objective is to avoid organisational change to meet the target ways of working, using personal performance metrics the organisation can transform into a more efficient operating model.
